Parenting workshop begins Tuesday, preregistration required

The Community Resource Council is set to launch its Guiding Good Choices Parenting Workshop starting Tuesday, June 9, and running through June 17. The program will take place at the Twin Towers location, offering four morning sessions designed to help parents and caregivers navigate the challenges of raising children. Organizers emphasize that preregistration is mandatory, as space is limited and materials need to be prepared in advance.

Each session will cover practical strategies for building strong family bonds, setting clear expectations, and managing difficult behaviors in a supportive group setting. The workshop targets parents of school-age children but is open to anyone interested in improving their parenting skills. Participants will receive a workbook and access to follow-up resources.

The Council has hosted similar workshops in the past, noting that early registration often fills up quickly. Interested individuals are encouraged to call the main office or stop by the front desk to secure a spot. No walk-ins will be accepted on the first day. For those unable to attend the full series, a waitlist is available for potential future sessions.
