Parenting Course Returns to Help Families Navigate the Teenage Years

A popular parenting program is coming back for its fourth year, offering practical support to families raising teenagers. The course, designed for parents and caregivers of adolescents, aims to address the unique challenges that come with this stage of development.

Organizers say the sessions focus on building stronger communication between parents and teens, setting healthy boundaries, and understanding the emotional and social changes teenagers experience. Topics include managing conflict, encouraging independence, and supporting mental well-being.

The course has seen steady demand since it first launched, with many past participants reporting improved relationships at home. One parent who attended last year said the strategies helped reduce daily arguments and created a more cooperative atmosphere.

Classes will be held weekly over several weeks, led by trained facilitators with backgrounds in youth work and family therapy. The format includes group discussions, role-playing exercises, and take-home resources. Spaces are limited, and early registration is recommended.

This year's program also includes a session on digital parenting, covering screen time limits, social media pressures, and online safety. Organizers hope the updated content will reflect the realities families face today.

For parents feeling overwhelmed by the teenage years, the course offers a chance to learn new tools and connect with others going through the same struggles. As one facilitator put it, "You don't have to figure it all out alone."
